I found the Christmas spirit that I used to know. You can too!

This collection Christmas stories, carols and recipies got me part of the way there, but it was the thought that I could help others that really did it for me.

I've put together a collection of Christmas books for you, to help get you in the mood for the holiday season!

In keeping with the spirit of the season, half of the sale of every Christmas Book Bundle will go to help feed the hungry this holiday season.

Dear Friend,

What happened to the Christmas I used to know? I remember being in elementary school and all the lessons would be related to Christmas. Music class had us singing Christmas songs and carols. In art class we would be learning how to draw Christmas trees (I still remember how to this day). I'm sure they even worked Christmas in to math class some how. Everything seemed to get you in the mood for Christmas.

The toys and presents were great, too, but it was more than that. It was that warm glow, the smiling faces, the way that everyone seemed to just be "nicer" to each other.

Fast forward a few (well, more than a few) years and it seems that Christmas is now all about buying "stuff." The Christmas spirit seems to have become the "hurry-up-and-buy-something" spirit.

I admit it. My Christmas spirit has been lacking for the past few years.

I try to keep the spirit of giving alive by donating turkeys for the food drives, and I pick out "Christmas Angels" in the mall (to give toys to the less fortunate children). If someone asks me what I'd like for Christmas, I let them know I appreciate them thinking about me, but I ask them to pick out a "Christmas Angel" too.

But there had to be something more that I could do.

I sat down and though about it good and hard this year. What was missing?

I thought back to the things that I've done at Christmas time that gave me the warm inner glow that I remember from my childhood.

"Think Globally, Act Locally" as the saying goes. I thought about those who wouldn't have the traditional Christmas dinner and I was reminded of the Christmas food drives I used to do with a computer user's group that I belonged to.

One year, while taking the food we collected to St. Mary's Food Bank, I was introduced to John van Hengel. John had started the world's first food bank right in my home town of Phoenix, Arizona. It's not very often that you get to meet someone who has helped change the world for the better!

Then an idea hit me.

I'd set up a web site to share the stories, the songs, the recipies, with others, and I'd donate half of the money to help feed the less fortunate.

So I started searching the Internet for Christmas information that I could share with everyone. Christmas-Books.com was born, and so was the:

"Christmas Books Bundle"

I've collected over thousands of pages of Christmas stories, recipes, songs, coloring books and more.

Just working on Classic Christmas Tales books got me in the Christmas spirit. I re-read some of the stories I knew, and found dozens that I didn't even know existed!

And the dishes in Scrumptious Holiday Recipess made my mouth water.

I was singing the Christmas carols in my head as I was publishing The Traditional Christmas Carol Collection. Did you know that there are nine versus in "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen?" I didn't remember that many!

I love cookies. Maybe you do too. My Grandmother made the best cookies (and so did my Mom, from Grandma's recipies and some of her own).

I remember Grandma giving me a "Cookie Monster" hand puppet one year. (Yes, I was her cookie monster). I couldn't wait for Grandma's cookies at Chrismas, but there was one cookie that was my absolute favorite.

Chocolate Hermits!

These weren't just any cookies. These were so chocolatey, so soft (they're like little cakes really), and so tasty.

A few years ago, I asked my mom for the recipe. I don't bake very often, so they are a very special treat for me. On the few occasions that I've made them (and actually had enough left over to share), everyone asks for the recipe. To this very day, I've not given it out!

Since Christmas is all about sharing, I thought I'd give it to everyone who buys the "Christmas Book Bundle" (or who fills in the form below to receive my free updates). After all, other people having this recipe won't make the Chocolate Hermits any less special. And it will make me happy knowing that other people are going to be enjoying these delicious cookies too!

(Hmm, I'm going to have to make a batch
pretty soon.)

You will receive a confirmation email to make sure that you requested my updates. Please be sure to click on the link in this email.

I loved this stuff, and so will my little boy!

Every single person on the planet Earth has experienced their own events that cause different types of stress. No one is immune to this intense feeling. But, when the holiday season pops up, so does the level of stress that many experience.

While many of these "symptoms" can be related to things other than stress, we will be addressing them in this ebook as if they are created by stress specifically and explain some things you can do to elevate some of it throughout the holiday gatherings, shopping sprees, and other unplanned surprises that are yet to come your way!

Below is a list of a few of the symptoms that will be addressed in Coping with Holiday Stress Tips for Managing Your Stress Levels Successfully.

If you have felt any of the following, it's probably safe to say that you are already dealing with some form of stress:

  • You are overly cranky
  • You find it difficult to get a good night's rest
  • You are on a weight roller coaster
  • You find yourself more "on edge"

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance

The world's first food bank.

St. Mary's Food Bank was founded in 1967 by John van Hengel, the father of the food banking concept. St. Mary's Basilica Church provided van Hengel, a parishioner at the time, with a loan and the building needed to start the food bank, the first location of which was in downtown Phoenix. Often perceived as part of the church, the Food Bank was simply named in honor of the organization that helped get it started.

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance serves 13 of Arizona's 15 counties. On September 1, 2005, the Alliance was created with the merging of two major food banks, St. Marys Food Bank and Westside Food Bank.

The merger allowed the new Food Bank to have a deeper reach into the community, getting more food to more people. Separately, the two food banks distributed more than 60 million pounds of food during Fiscal Year 2004/2005. As one organization, the Alliance will be able to pick up and distribute even more.
